Helpful sites
A potpourri of
helpful places from my favorites list. I've created this page to answer some of
the most frequently asked questions and requests I receive. Here you will find
links to java scripts, dhtml, free web tools, html tutorials, fonts, search
engines and much much more. Due to my health and the limited amount of time I
can no longer answer all help requests personally. I really am sorry about this.
I receive a lot of email every day relating to the children my site's aim is to
help and am really now limited to this, the reason for my site. I hope that you
will find the answers you are looking for here. Thank you for your understanding.

You
certainly don't need to be a kid to benefit from Lisa's
great site. Full of really helpful tutorials, scripts and
resources.
Having tried just about every free
web tool provider on the net *LOL* I've finally settled for Bravenet. Great
trouble free counters with reliable statistics (unlike some). What I really like
is the services are customisable to match your site. Guestbooks, Send To A
Friend, Mailing lists, chat rooms and much more.

Visit
Dynamic Drive
for free, original DHTML scripts and components, all of
which ultilize the latest in DHTML and JavaScript
technology.

Lots
of useful tutorials, resources and freebies. Not to be
missed by webmasters.

Hundreds
of java applets and web design resources.
AOL

If you experience
distorted graphics on my site (and of course other sites people have worked so
hard on) it is because AOL compresses them into files with the .art extension to
conserve bandwidth. ONLY AOL does this.
AOL4 & 5
members click 'Customize' on the top AOL bar. Click on 'Preferences'
and then on 'Web'. In the gray box that pops up click on 'Web Graphics'.
Simply put a check in the box that reads 'Do not compress graphics'. To
then view all pages without distorted graphics you will need to empty your
browser's cache. If you don't know how to do this just navigate back to the gray
box where you clicked 'Web Graphics' and under the 'General' tab
where you see the temporary internet folders section click on the button that
says 'Delete Files' and in the History section click the button that
reads 'Clear History' reboot AOL, when you sign back on the graphics will
no longer be distorted.
